Tree
  • Blossom : rose type flower, blossom is precocious and floriferousness is medium. Fruit setting varies from 60 to 80% depending the season.

  • Habit : tree is vigorous and upright. Ramification is medium and productivity is very good.
Fruit
  • Shape : fruit is spherical and regular, with a flat top. The top has no basin. The stem cavity is not deep and suture is light. Skin thickness is medium and sometimes pigmented.

  • Colour : BIG TOP® Zaitabo is coloured with a deep bright red on 90% 100% of the skin on a yellow background

  • Flesh : yellow, the flesh is fine, juicy, with a good eating quality and a well balanced flavour. The stone is cling, medium size and oval shape. The variety is not sensible to stone splitting. 

  • Size : big to very big

Harvest and storage
  • The harvest should done generally 7 to 4 days before FLAVOR GOLD® Zailavor. Number of pickings varies from 4 to 6. Ripening should be well evaluated in order to get the best storage ability.

Agronomic Traits
  • Floriferousness is medium, so thinning should be light. Fruiting pruning should be done essentially on weak or mixed branches.

  • Varieties well known for its exceptional fruit attractiveness, fruit size and good production potential.

Tree
  • Blossom : the blossom time is medium and the floriferousness is very important. The flowers are campanula and small.

  • Habit : the tree is vigorous and half upright shape. The ramifications are very important.
Fruit
  • Shape : QUEEN GIANT® Zaiblagro is a nectarine rather oval, elongated and very regular. The top is without basin and the stem cavity is deep. The suture is light.

  • Colour : bright red skin on 80 % of the fruit on a white cream background. The epidermis thickness is medium and the skin is pigmented. The fruit is very attractive and bright.

  • Flesh : white, firm, very fine texture and juicy. The eating quality is good to slightly acid.

  • Size : big , A is dominant

Harvest and storage
  • Harvest : late harvest between the 7th and the 20th July according the years. 5 to 7 pickings.

  • Conservation : normal.

Agronomic characteristics 
  • QUEEN GIANT® Zaiblagro is a very productive variety. It is adapted to all regions with a good potential in size and in eating quality. Its sensibility to cracking is low but this variety is sensible to Taphrina deformans.

  • Excellent variety to succeed to Sowqueen, Queen Giant has a good potential in size for its ripeness time.

Yellow Flesh Nectarine from ZAIGER GENETICS® - California

Tree
  • Blossom : with an early blooming time, the blossom of Zee Glo is important. The flowers are rose type and big size.

  • Habit : the tree is very vigorous, with an upright shape. The ramification is important. 

Fruit
  • Shape : Zee Glo is a very easily recognisable fruit. This nectarine is oval, rather elongated and very regular. The stem cavity is deep and the top without basin. The suture is deep.

  • Colour : Zee Glo is a nectarine with a washed deep red skin on 80 % of the fruit on an orange background. The bright skin and its washed appearance give to the fruit a remarkable attractiveness. The thickness of the epidermis is medium.

  • Chair : yellow, fine texture, juicy and very good eating quality with a well balanced flavour. The stone is oval and big. This variety is slightly sensible to splitted stone.

  • Calibre : big, the dominant sizes are A-AA.

Harvest and storage
  • Harvest : between the 5th and the 15th August in the Rhone Valley, between 4 and 6 pickings. The fruit has an excellent keeping on the tree.

  • Storage : thanks to its firmness, Zee Glo resists very well to the manipulations.

Agronomic characteristics 
  • The productivity of Zee Glo is good and regular. The opening of the trees must be followed in order to avoid the upright shape. The thinning is important in intermediate period. 

  • This variety with its size, its firmness and its colour is important in its season time among the different varieties of yellow flesh nectarines.

  • Habit : the tree is very vigorous with a half upright shape and it is ramificated.

  • Shape : the fruit is oval, rather elongated and regular with atop without basins. The stem cavity is deep and the suture is light.

  • Colour : the skin is washed dark red on 80 % of the fruit on a white cream background. QUEEN RUBY® Zaigibe has a bright appearance.

  • Flesh : white, firm, juicy and fine texture. The eating quality is good with a well balanced flavour. The stone is free and medium size. This variety is slightly sensible to splitted stone.

  • Size : big with a type A dominant.

  • Harvest : between the 30th July and the 10th August in the Rhone Valley, 4 pickings.

  • Storage : good storage ability, resistant to manipulations.

  • With an early bearing, QUEEN RUBY® Zaigibe is a very productive variety. It is sensible to Taphrina deformans.
